With no formal training in Analytics, I spent many hours outside of work to learn skills to move into a role on an analytics team. When I was sent to an Alteryx training session, I immediately saw its value, particularly when it came to self-service analytics. Through the use of Alteryx, I not only solved the unsolvable problems, but I learned how to query all types of databases, data manipulation, and data engineering. I earned 8 promotions in 6 years. When I took a break from working, I leveraged a SparkEd license to keep learning and upskilling. Now I work for a boutique analytics consulting firm with my primary role to train others to use Alteryx.
